Mjamaica drops ‘Mafisa’

Yesterday, comedian Mjamaica dropped the visuals for his single ‘Mafisa’, to mark his birthday. The comedian had announced days before on his Facebook page, calling the song a gift to his over half a million followers. However, this is not Mjamaica’s first rodeo, he collaborated with heavy weights ATI and Han C on ‘Pelo’, but Mjamaica’s latest release goes on to cement a very interesting trend of local comedians trying it out (and succeeding) in the ‘treacherous’ BW music industry.

‘Mafisa’ is an upbeat pop – house tune, which features prominent guitar strings and electronic beats complimented by Mjamaica’s simple and catchy lyrics. ‘Kgomo tsa mafisa tsone di gangwa go lebilwe tsela’…Mjamaica reiterates throughout the song. The song was produced by the tribal house trio Raptured Roots and the visuals which see Mjamaica in a farm setting were captured by the talented Cyc Jozy.

We wish nothing but the best to Mjamaica as he continues to explore an interesting chapter in his career.
